_Element 1.3: Describe and
apply motor development theory and principles related to skillful movement,
physical activity, and fitness.
Artifact: Motor Development Lab 5
Date: Spring 2011
Reflection: This artifact is from my Motor Development class with Dr. Davis in the Spring 2011 Semester. This fits the criteria for Element 1.3 of Standard 1 because in this lab, I had to observe the students as they tried to throw and kick different objects. While observing them, I had to critique their skills and try to provide feedback in order for them to be corrected. This artifact is important to my development as a teacher because being able to assess students, as well as break down and explain the progressions for the different skills, ensures that learning can take place, and all the information will be relayed clearly. Having the knowledge of the skills allows me to provide solid congruent feedback to all the students.
