Element 5.3: Utilize the reflective cycle to implement change in teacher performance, student learning, and instructional goals and decisions.
Artifact: Statistics & Assessment of Physical Education Fitness Results
Date: Fall 2011
Reflection: This artifact is from my PED 434 Statistics and Assessment of Physical Education class. During the class, we were required to create an assessment across the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains, along with an additional fitness goal. This artifact shows the ability to use the reflective cycle to implement change because after viewing the results, one can adapt the lesson as necessary. For example, in the data presented, nine out of the eleven students were able to meet the goal of six hundred steps that we had set. As an educator, I can reflect on the data and be able to adapt the lesson to perhaps challenge the students more, thus reflecting and being able change the lesson to better meet the student's needs.
